Overview

To modernize, automate, and centralize workforce operations within the Infokost ITERA enterprise ecosystem, the HRIS Infokost ITERA platform was developed as an enterprise-grade fullstack web Human Resource Information System. As the Fullstack Web & Enterprise System Developer, I took end-to-end responsibility for system architecture—from modular backend design and relational database schema modeling in PostgreSQL to engineering an ergonomic, mobile-first responsive frontend meeting modern enterprise standards.

The platform unifies all personnel management processes into a single cohesive digital ecosystem:

  • Biometric Attendance & GPS Geofencing: Enables employees to clock attendance on-site or in the field using dual verification—device-native physical sensors via WebAuthn (Touch ID / Windows Hello) alongside an interactive biometric laser scanner, selfie camera verification, and real-time GPS coordinates mapped to OpenStreetMap.
  • Automated Payroll & Payslip Generator: Automates monthly payroll calculations including base salary, position allowances, overtime multipliers, social security deductions (BPJS Kesehatan & Ketenagakerjaan), and PPh 21 income tax withholding, complemented by interactive payslip preview drawers (Side-Over on desktop & Bottom-Sheet on mobile) and instant PDF generation.
  • Employee Lifecycle Governance: Streamlines department structures, multi-tiered managerial leave approvals, KPI-based performance evaluations, project assignments, and granular audit trails.
  • Mobile-First Design with Floating Fingerprint Action Button: Ergonomically tailored for smartphone users through a raised floating action button (FAB) dedicated to fingerprint scanning centered in the bottom navigation bar (automatically transitioning to inactive/grayed-out status once today’s attendance is recorded), styled with Infokost ITERA’s official corporate identity of Royal Deep Blue (#0D47A1) and Golden Yellow (#DAA420).

Tech Stack

  • Frontend & Client: Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, Lucide Icons, Recharts, WebAuthn API (FIDO2 Biometrics), html2pdf.js
  • Backend & RESTful API: NestJS (Modular Architecture), TypeScript, JWT Passport.js Authentication, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC: Admin, HR, Manager, PM, Employee)
  • Database & ORM: PostgreSQL 15, Prisma ORM, Prisma Client
  • DevOps & Caching: Docker, Docker Compose, Redis 7 (Alpine)

Objectives

  1. HR Workflow Automation: Eliminate manual spreadsheets by consolidating attendance, leave requests, employee master data, and organization charts into a unified enterprise portal.
  2. Tamper-Proof Biometric Attendance: Guarantee attendance authenticity by combining real-time GPS geofencing, physical hardware biometric sensors (WebAuthn), laser scanner simulation, and facial snapshot verification.
  3. Payroll Efficiency & Tax Compliance: Accelerate monthly payroll cycles, BPJS social security deductions, and PPh 21 tax compliance with one-click digital PDF payslip generation.
  4. Structured Access Governance: Implement granular RBAC separating administrative authority, HR operations, managerial approvals, and employee self-service (ESS) portals.
  5. Optimal Mobile Accessibility: Deliver an ergonomic mobile-first interface featuring a floating fingerprint action button on the bottom navigation bar for effortless one-tap attendance from both mobile and desktop devices.
